It is easier to get wrapped up in “what” we want to become, instead of how to become it. Improving your life on a daily basis is so simple, and that’s the point. It’s in the little things, but it can have a drastic impact on the flow of your life.
Well, to improve your life every single day, here’s what to do.
1. Success begins in the morning
Practice keeping to your words by waking up when you say you’re going to. For instance, if you set your alarm for five a.m., don’t hit the snooze instead when it rings. By doing that, you’ve just broken your first promise of the day.
Keep that promise to yourself. Rise up early and tackle the day head-on.
2. Relentlessly practice discipline
Ours is a busy culture but you have to remain focused. Find opportunities in your daily life to practice deep focus. For example: If you plan on working on something, remove all distractions. Turn off your e-mails and phone, if necessary or set it on silent.
You can accomplish so much in a short amount of time when you aren’t constantly interrupting your train of thought.
3. Take care of your health
Your health and wellness are essential to your success in business or entrepreneurship. And so, it is extremely vital that you take some time at the beginning or end of the day to get back in your body.
You will be so much more productive if you stay healthy.
4. Do things for a bigger purpose
In order to become an improved version of yourself everyday, you need to continually aim at meeting a purpose. Do away with things that are easy to overindulge in and see how long you can go without them. Train yourself to let go of things that do not serve your bigger purpose, and start making decisions from a broader perspective.
Discipline might be difficult at first, but it is extremely valuable to those willing to put in the time and effort.
5. Prepare yourself for the next day
At the end of each day, in your quiet time, start prepping yourself for the next day. You can keep a journal for this purpose. Reflect on the day winding up, take note of your accomplishments, mistakes and failures. Note down areas that need improvement and plan on what to do differently the next day.
