ExxonMobil Names New MD
Paul McGrath has been announced as the new Chairman and Managing Director of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited in an appointment that is to take effect from March 1.
Mr. McGrath will succeed Nolan O’Neal, who elected to retire after 34 years of service.
Ex-NNPC GMD Claims $9.8 Found In His House Were Gifts
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday said Andrew Yakubu, former group managing director (GMD) of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), claimed that the sums of $9.8m and £74, 000 found in his house were gifts.
Yakubu was appointed NNPC GMD in 2012, and he was replaced by Joseph Dawha in 2014.
Jaiz Bank Listed On The Nigerian Stock Exchange
A Nigerian foremost non-interest bank, Jaiz Bank Plc, was on Thursday listed on the Nigeria Stock Exchange, NSE. The NSE admitted 29.464 billion ordinary shares of the bank on its daily official list at N1.25 per share by introduction.
The listing, which is the second in 2017, added about N37 billion to the market capitalisation of the NSE. Earlier, Medview Airline was listed on the NSE, representing the first listing for the year.

In the article, the magazine stated that President Buhari inherited a dire situation courtesy of his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan, whom they described as “Hapless”. Billions Uncovered In Home Of Ex-NNPC GMD
$9.2 million and 750,000 pounds were recovered from a residence of Andrew Yakubu, a former Group Managing Director tof the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. This was disclosed by the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Thursday while appearing before a committee of the House of Representatives.
Desist From Attacking Oil Facilities – Osinbajo Tells Niger Delta Militants
Nigeria’s Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Friday visited Bayelsa state for the second leg of the Niger Delta dialogue.
In a series of tweets, Osinbajo urged Niger Delta militants to desist from attacking oil facilities as they would only hurt themselves.
” We must not allow anyone to persuade us to destroy investments, or pollute our environment to prove a point or to get a few benefits,” he said. “That is cutting our nose to spite our face!”
